Zeitwinkel is a small, independent manufacturer of high-end watches from Switzerland within house manufacture movements.

The company was founded in 2006 by a group of watch enthusiast friends bringing expertise from watchmaking and other industries. As one of the first steps and before they even had an idea of what their watches would look like, the founders began with the design of their own in-house manufacture movements which can only be found in Zeitwinkel timepieces.

Zeitwinkel watches are characterized by their timeless design, but are nevertheless unique and always recognizable. The manufacture does not regularly change its models or releases new collections, but rather carefully updates its product range only as necessary.

Every Zeitwinkel watch is assembled by hand in the brand’s atelier in Saint-Imier in the Swiss Jura, from parts that are designed and made in the region. Every watch reflects the workmanship and care of a specific watchmaker.

The automatic Zeitwinkel calibers feature an above-average size of 30.4mm and a power reserve of 72 hours. They are not based on any other movement but were developed from scratch, using untreated German Silver(“maillechort”)for the plates and bridges. This material has a beautiful warm glow, but is difficult to handle and unforgiving in case of mistakes.

Flagship watch for Zeitwinkel is its model 273° with patented large date display at the “11”position.It is also available with a transparent Sapphire dial that allows the owner to see the movement from both sides. Zeitwinkel has also given a modern twist to Grand Feu Enamel with its model 082° Email Grand Feu which features blue enamel numerals in Zeitwinkel’s own typeface.

Zeitwinkel timepieces come in case sizes of either 39mm or 42.5mm and can be purchased directly from the manufacture, starting at 8,990.00 Swiss Francs.
