William Wood Watches was founded in 2016 by Jonny Garrett, the grandson of the late William Wood, a decorated firefighter who served in the British Fire Service for over 25 years. William Wood makes firefighting inspired luxury watches from upcycled firefighting material. Over the span of five years, William Wood has launched five successful luxury watch collections, each watch has a piece of firefighting history. The collections range from dress watches, automatic watches to chronograph watches. William Wood is known for its signature straps that are upcycled from fire hose that has seen over 10 years of use in the British Fire Service and Armed Forces.
The company donates to firefighting charities through the sale of every watch. William Wood also regularly supports and sponsors firefighting charities internationally having most recently auctioned off a watch for $19,000 in honour of 20 years since 9/11. All proceeds were donated to the US 9/11 charity, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
